The PRO-View HD-IP vari-focal eyeball dome is an ONVIF compatible 2.4 megapixel high definition CCTV camera for use with IP CCTV systems. Suitable for installation outdoors or indoors, this PRO-View weather resistant high definition IP camera features HD (1080p / 2.4MP) picture quality at 25 frames per second (FPS).

The camera is ONVIF compatible allowing connection to a vast range of ONVIF compatible CCTV recorders and software. We have optimised and tested the camera for full functionality with our PRO-View range of HD-IP NVRs.

The cameras has a 2.8-12mm vari-focal lens which allows installers to tweak the angle of view using the adjustment screws on the front of the camera to get the most suitable view for the end user.

The 'eyeball' style housing is one of our most popular sellers. The sealed unit nature of this camera keeps installation simple while the 3 axis mounting system allows the camera to be mounted vertically or horizontally.

The integral infra-red illuminators allow the camera to see in very low light situations up to a range of 30 metres.

The configuration menu of the camera can be accessed via Microsoft Internet Explorer. Once logged in, users can set image parameters, change the frame rate and set motion detection as well manage a host of other features.

The camera supports PoE (Power over Ethernet) meaning that a separate PSU is not required when the camera is connected to a unit that provides PoE such as a PoE switch or one of our PRO-View NVRs. The PoE standard required is IEEE 802.3af. If PoE is not available, a separate 12V DC input is also provided.

PRO-View IP cameras come pre-set to DHCP mode allowing them to get their own IP address from a DHCP server upon power on. If a DHCP server is not available the cameras will set to an auto configuration address and can be found via the IP search software.

IP search software is provided on a CD with the camera and can also be downloaded here.

When a PRO-View IP camera is connected to a PRO-View NVR (Network Video Recorder), the NVR will allocate an IP address to the camera automatically and will be available to view on the screen within two minutes.

The camera connects to the NVR in CAT5E or CAT6 cable terminated with RJ45 connectors (the cable and connectors are not supplied with the camera). As the cameras use PoE, we recommend the cable order when terminating is one of the industry standard types (either type is acceptable as long as it is the same at both ends of the cable).
